Style | Obey Love. Obey Freedom.

Hi everyone, the weather has been slighly kinder to us the last few days.

I recently bought this coat on sale in The United Colours of Benneton and despite its colour it is so easy to wear.

I am also still in complete love with these Acne shoes.
They look great and are simply so comfortable its insane.

I picked up these silky lace black shorts in Miss Selfridge, I had been after a pair like them for ages and like most things I you go looking for them you wont find them.
Like all good buys, including these Acne shoes, they have to find you <3

My top is from the amazing Obey Propaganda. I would seriously wear any obey t-shirt, be it mens or womens. The womens collections are slightly less harsh and slightly less obvious I find than the mens more graphic t-shirts. I also love the triangular shapes in the illustration, the obey icon created in the cats cradle and the girls red eyes.

Project | The Berwick St vs. Holloway Road Price Implosion!

Today I also finally managed to purchase my materials for my textiles final piece.
I initially had plans to create an entire outfit for out catwalk show, but since plans for the event have fallen through, and unfortunately now we wont be having a catwalk to present our final collections I have settled with creating just the jacket.
Besides, this will allow me to spend longer putting it together and will mean that I am under a considerable amount of less pressure.

Its quite a bummer and I am pretty gutted that it won't be taking place, but us second years are adamant that plans will go ahead for next year!

As I showed you all in my last Project post, I took a visit to Berwick Street to source some materials.
Berwick street is a much more pleasurable place to pick and compare materials, as the shops are quite big and they have a wide range to choose from.
But, there extortionate prices are slightly ridiculous!

So, today I went to good old Rolls and Rems and The Nags Head Market on Seven Sisters Road, near Holloway Road Underground, looking for some similar materials and ended up buying the materials above; some of which are the exact same material on offer at Berwick Street.

To conclude, I ended up spending under £25 on materials and some other bits and bobs (the pastel pink and green materials I bought simply because I liked them..... and they were £1 per meter) which would have cost me in the region of £80 on Berwick Street!

Style | Cape + The Mountain Scape

Cape & Cardigan - United Colors of Bennetton
Dress - +H&M
Square Ring - +pylones
White Ring -  +Astley Clarke
Watch -  +Casio Watch Store
Shoes - Dr. Martens

Before I found this cape this cape found me, on sale in my local +United Colors of Benetton I had my eye out for a cape in every shop!
I just love the material, the green works great with the small pink and yellow detail, which I think you can just make out in the pictures.
It has taken me a while to get used to the whole arm and bag situation and the movement restriction caused by wearing a cape, but now I find it so comfortable and relatively easy to wear.

I have also placed a shoe buying ban upon myself.
But yesterday, there was an incredible 24 hour sale on 'summer' shoes on the +ASOS website and right before they sold out completely at about half ten in the morning, I bagged a new pair of +Dr. Martens !! *Hip hip horray* :)

And, I am sure they will make it on here at some point.......
(I do find myself saying this often,,,, but then my shoe collection increases rather more rapidly than my style post collection)

Life | Live as long as you may. The first twenty years are the longest half of your life.

Hey all! It is my 21st birthday! If you didn't know, I have been mentioning it so often I don't understand how that has been allowed to happen? And I have had an incredible day! :)

I began the day by waking up nice and early, so that I would have time to relax a bit, eat breakfast, walk around remember to include my usual habit of general procrastination which meant I was, like most days 20 minutes 30 minutes late for uni :| (to the extent of waking up at 7:30 and not being ready to leave at 9:15), preen my freshly dyed hair, have a bath (and everything else that goes with it) and most importantly pick an outfit to wear with my new +Acne Studios shoes!

Acne Studios Taurus Shoes!
Wwwhhaaahhhh, my new gift to self birthday shoes. There is a post dedicated to these babies here.
If your getting sick of seeing them too bad.

And so, after a good productive day few hours at uni myself and Kate went for a good old snoop in brick lane :)
We had a look in some of the vintage shops and here are some of our finds!
I hope you like my mirror shots, they make my spine tingle slightly are awesome I know.

All these pictures were taken in Rokit :)
<3

We then took a trip to good old Vintage Emporium, which never lets us down and has featured on the blog here many times!

When I got home I was also greeted by a nice cake and some awesome presents.
Many of the ones on the list I have actually had since before my birthday... when it comes to shopping my Mum is as bad a me worse than me!
Buying present a month before my actual birthday, or you could I guess, put it as buying stuff and using my birthday as an excuse.

I am also going to take this opportunity to point out how incredibly important it is to gift yourself at your birthday.
Pretty sure you deserve it. Whatever it is. Hopefully. :)

Omg. Cake. Help.

The best chocolate like ever, is you haven't tried it already. You need to.
My Mum bought these for me after I fell in love with the Tanzanite watching the jewellery channel, yeah I'm that sad. I just prefer to watch nice pretty jewellery instead of crappy Eastenders.
These stack-able rings by +Astley Clarke are just amazing! They are so minimalist and sophisticated, I LOVE the white one!
+The Body Shop UK fragrances smell so good, fresh and natural and are so good for everyday use!
I have been using Body Shop foundation and powers since forever,,,, the eyeshadow is a new venture.... we shall see how they work out :)

These last two pictures shall remain a mystery, this detail if from my new  Oasis dress which I think, depending if it matches with my shoes, I will wear out to my celebratory birthday dinner/drink/party on Friday :)
And this bad contains my new shoes from +Irregular Choice ! They are so quirky and incredible. When I show you all, your going to love them :)
So, hey! There we have it. I have been twenty one now for around 22 hours and its seems alright so far :) Heres to the next year to my life! :)

Time flies when your having fun, X

Style | ACNE Studios - Taurus glittered jelly and leather pumps

These Acne shoes are just incredible.

Happy Tuesday 30th April and *also* Happy 21st Birthday to me :)

On Sunday I took a trip to The Other Art Fair as you would have seen in my last post, and afterwords we took a trip to Oxford Street.
Firstly, I saw these incredible shoes in red satin and trotted around wearing them in +Selfridges for a while and completely adored them.

They are ridiculously comfortable, clarified by +NET-A-PORTER 'A comfortable statement shoe is hard to find and +Acne Studios has you covered with these 'Taurus' pumps.'

But then in +Liberty London were the black leather ones. Simply in LOVE.
Also rather superstitiously called 'Taurus Satin'.

They were gaining quite a lot of attention on the stand in Liberty and I managed to get the last pair in my size!
They also seem to be sold out pretty much everywhere, but you can find some sizes here on Net-A-Porter.
There are also some other incredible variations on the Acne Website, www.acnestudios.com
and you can spot them all in action below on the video of Acne S/S13 runway show! Enjoy X
